Sorgenfressers

Based on Gerd Hahn’s animation, Sorgenfresser Worry Eaters are fabulous cuddly monsters designed to take your children’s fears, troubles or worries away.  These award winning toys are recommended by teachers and Psychologists as a waste bin for problems.

 

Children write or draw their worries down and simply feed the piece of paper into the mouth of the Sorgenfresser and zip it up. Although this does not solve all problems straight away, parents can retrieve the note later and talk to their children about their worries.  They especially help younger children who may be struggling to put their worries into words.  Even if the child feels like they don’t want their mum and dad to see, the symbolism of the Sorgenfresser eating their worries is a very powerful and can be enough to put your childs mind at ease.

 

Sorgenfresser are also excellent bed time buddies and are brilliant at eating nightmares!  Not just for children, worry eaters make excellent companions and mascots for both the young and old!
